- Design:
- Development:
The planning stage where ideas or requirements are transformed into concepts, drawings, or technical specifications. This includes determining functionality, appearance, materials, and how the product will operate. Example : Architects and engineers create blueprints, choose materials, and design structural elements.
The execution stage where the design is turned into a tangible product or solution through prototyping, testing, refinement, and finalization for production or implementation. Example: Construction teams build the structure based on the design, with ongoing technical adjustments.
Objectives of Design & Development :
To meet user or customer needs. To ensure the product functions properly and meets quality standards.
To enhance production efficiency.
To comply with regulatory or industry requirements.

Maintenance
Maintenance is the process of keeping equipment, machines, or systems in optimal working condition, preventing failures, and extending their operational lifespan. It is essential in various industries such as manufacturing, IT, construction, and security (e.g., CCTV & Fire Alarm systems).
Types of Maintenance :
- Preventive Maintenance.
- Corrective Maintenance.
Regular maintenance performed to prevent failures before they occur. Example: Routine inspections, lubrication, filter cleaning, and calibration.
Repairs made after a failure has occurred to restore functionality. Example: Fixing a malfunctioning CCTV camera or replacing damaged components.
Maintenance is crucial to ensuring that systems or equipment remain fully functional and to avoid operational disruptions. A well-structured maintenance process helps reduce downtime, improve efficiency, and minimize major repair costs.

Service & Repair
Service & Repair is the process of fixing equipment, machines, or systems that have malfunctioned to restore them to proper working condition. It is performed after a component has failed or is not functioning according to operational standards.
Types of Service & Repair :
- Warranty Service & Repair.
- Paid Service & Repair.
A warranty Service & Repair is a repair service provided at no cost to the customer, as long as the product is still within the warranty period and the issue is covered under the warranty policy. A successful commissioning process ensures that all systems function efficiently, safely, and reliably before being handed over for regular operation.
Types of Commissioning :
- Initial Commissioning
- Re-Commissioning.
The first-time testing and validation of newly installed systems before they are put into operation. Example: Checking if a new fire alarm system detects smoke and triggers alerts correctly.
The process of re-testing and adjusting systems after modifications, repairs, or upgrades. Example: After replacing a fire alarm control panel, all sensors are re-tested to ensure proper functionality.
Testing & Commissioning is a vital process that ensures newly installed or modified systems meet performance expectations, safety standards, and operational requirements. A well-executed commissioning process reduces risks, improves efficiency, and guarantees a smooth transition into full operation.

Assessment (Audit & Troubleshoot)
